I am going to try and build a fishing boat that is a v-hull using a single TFL gear drive outboard. This outboard does not use a cavitation plate. My question is, do you then mount the motor so that the centerline of the prop shaft is even to a 1/4” above the bottom of the v- hull? Similar to the way most mono hulls have the strut mounted?
