Removing Fiber Glass mold release agent

Been so long since I’ve worked with fiberglass I can’t remember
what to use for removing mold release agent.

What is the best way to get off other the countless hrs of sanding that will not damage the gel coat Missing 1 small release agent spot can ruin a paint job

What release agent? Water takes off PVA, I dont know and would be interested in what takes off wax though.
