    Replace strut bushing Toysport Jollycat

Anyone know how to change a strut bushing on a Toysport jolly cat? The strut is fiberglassed into the hull so no removing strut or stuffing tube. It's an odd size as well , I know the ID of the bushing is 5mm. I believe I need to change it since there is a mm or so of play in the stub when seated in the bushing. I also need to know where to find a replacement, I have not tried contacting Toy'sport directly yet, is that my best option ? I am fine with destroying the old bushing when removing it, just don't want to damage the strut, since it's not removable and is a nicely polished piece. I was thinking of trying to gently heat the strut and maybe using one of those 'easy-out' taps for removing stripped out screws, and trying to gently spin the bushing out of the strut. That or possibly trying to find a tube or wire I can stick down the stuffing tube from the motor side and try to tap the bushing out. Looking for advice and recommendations. Thanks !

Slippery slope here! I would try to find a close fitting tube to go into the stuffing box and gently knock at it. Try some penetrating oil in there first. The only heat I would use is from a hair dryer, but they get pretty hot! Good luck on that!
