I would rather use the cheaper 63/37 which is eutectic, if I was keeping lead. If you want the higher melting point of the silver content you may as well go lead free and look after your health.
the silver bearing lead solder is also eutectic and actually has slightly lower melting point.
It seems you are paying $40 for $5 worth of silver you don't need though...
Very conunterintuitive that it has a lower melting point, when silver has a MUCH higher melting point than either the tin or the lead that it replaces. I wonder why it is added then, for mechanical strength maybe.
Wound up being Kester solder as ordered, new CSI Premier 75W station as well. Project carved out, been years since I've soldered wires, well as in R/C.

Like to see him do 6.5mm connectors, sweating plumbing fittings is way easier.
