The slight mis-alignment of the cases and newness of the male plugs make it difficult at first. The dielectric grease just helped alignment and if some got on the connector surface I will clean with Isopropyl Alcohol before use. It's best to avoid decreasing plug tightness with pliers since it could cause more problems than it fixes. If it's working for you that's great!

My 1st thought is you don't have the connectors seated in the green housing properly carefully seat them with a flat punch or a 1/4" round dowel if you finesse them in & out it works better I use a round tip bondus allen wrench to spread the 6.5 malesOriginally posted by Newboater View PostNot if you need a pair of pliers to connect them.............. you should be able to use you hands to plug in and separate them.
