    DF 26 Suggestions

I'm thinking of building a DF26, I built a DF22 for my first boat and am very impressed. Anyways, I'm still quite the noob since I built my DF22 last spring, so I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions for motors, hardware, lipos, etc.

My thoughts were 9xl, 7.4v lipos w/ around 4000-4500 mah, Stinger strut, carbon prop, around 1.5ish inches, ESC not chosen.

    All advice is welcome!

I'd go for an 8xl and use the solinger mono hardware, a x440/3 prop works great with this setup..

9XL would be perfect for the 29.5" under 4S bit heavy for a 26" IMO!
9L under 3S would be better I think! two 3S 2200mAh in parallel

          Hey OJ

A fast and reliable setup would be the Aquacraft Combo on 4s and as Heath said the Solinger gear would be perfect for that hull.
We run the same setup in an Oval Master 26, we normally run either an X440/3 or an M445. But if you were looking more for runtime then speed you could go with maybe a M or X442.

What would be a good choice for turn fins? I was lookin at the OSE ones as probably the best choice.

What kind of lipos do you guys reccommmend? I was looking on RC lipos and there were a few Poly RC lipos that caught my attention. They were the 7.4v and 14.8v 4300ish mah batteries, but they were in both the High Performance series and the Expert series. Which series is best? I want to upgrade to lipos, so I'm new with them.

What about the 4500s? They're alot less money, or is 4500 not enough?

On my DF 26, I'm running a Fiegao 9L, with this hardware, Castle Hydra 120, 3s2p 2500 lipos, and m535/3 prop. Also a SV27 turn fin and trim tabs. IMO the OSE turn fins are longer than necessary. The boat is very fast and turns like it's on rails!
