    Help me go faster

Hello guys, so yesterday I got my homemade rc boat completely done. So today I went to try it out and when I was running it it wouldn't plane out, is was going like 5mph. I have a cheap brushless combo in it right now, it's 3100kv and I was running 3s. I need help to make my boat go faster. I'm thinking about ordering a new motor and esc of hobby king so I can run 4-6s. And other ideas. Cauldron it be cause it's to heavy, or just cause the motor has no balls. Any help would be nice. My boat is 20" long and made out of 3mm plywood. Thanks

Info and pics of your boat will do wonders for folks helping..

Could be your esc has lipo cutoff and its set to 4s and when 3s packs are installed it automatically goes into limp mode lol... a 20" boat with a 3100kv motor on 3s should get on plane. Pics, and pics of your esc etc.. are needed for anyone to truly help you with any good info.

Looking at the prop in the picture, which way does it spin. Clockwise or anti clockwise? I can't quite make it out properly but it looks like the prop is on backwards, but is also the wrong hand prop for the normal anti clockwise rotation. I can only assume that it is spinning clockwise to give you what little forward thrust you do have.
Could be the camera angle. Could you take a pic from the side of the prop?
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

That prop is definitely on backwards.

Probably the reason your boat doesn't get on plane is your prop.
