MHZ 114 RTR Build

Hello all.
I received my RTR MHZ 114 from Germany today so lets take a look. Why RTR, I come from the Heli world where we bolt things together. Long story short I do not have the skill-sets to construct a boat.

Not Long ago I bought a MHZ 114 from a gent online and I was amazed, but when I started wanting to build one myself I quickly realized.... forget it... sanding , gluing, painting, cutting HUH

So I bought A rtr kit that I can bolt my parts in.

We will start with picture of the Hull and hardware. Please tell me if the build looks correct.

Can't connect water hose.....

Trays are not even.... but they are coming out.... NATA2Run is making me some liposleds

Not sure how I will get them out (gulp)

The drive are supposed to be High Speed but I don't see any marking on them...

Water pickups are plastic

I think those flat bottom drives are what they call "high speed". They look Toed in...could just be the pic though.

So far it looks like the collets will not work i need collets that are haft the length??
I will be searching

you can get H&M collets (https://www.rocketcityracing.com/car...ategory_id=245)

I measured them against the MBP ones and they are exactly the size you need according to your pics. They are about 1/4th of an inch shorter. The only problem is your motor shafts don't have any recess, you'll have to add some if you go with h&m collets as they use grub screws. They'll also fit right through those holes on your mounts so you'll be able to slide them even closer to the motors to get more clearance.

Ok found out from Germany that you must use

"In case this is the Mystic You need the motor SSS 4082/200 and coupling
# 1036"

So now I must sell my two brand new 2250 LMT and order two cheaper motor and collets.

Let you know when they get here If I don't sell it

why "must" you use those sss motors and sell the lehners?

i just think in your case , with little knowledge in the boat hobby , it's strange to get this boat with the lehners
but now you got them ,why sell them and loose money?

you can also loose that oiling stuff at the flex end and maybe shorten the flex a bit so the mbp collets fit?

Bad idea, don't sell the lehners .

Remove the oiler piece and then it looks like things will fit fine. They are completely unnecessary with our boats especially considering they only run for 5 minutes max. The oiler is a bad idea in the event it ever loosens say good bye to that side of your boat.
