One of the (several) reasons for not painting yet is so any changes can be made if needed. Just need some more water time for testing, probably club race day on Sunday!
I did a similar bend accidentally in my Cheetah and it worked out for the better!

Well the new boat has had a couple of runs now with club day last weekend, ran 4 heats taking it easy with x443, 642, and cnc 45x1.6 props. No gps but eyeometer would say that the 443 went best.

This Saturday just been we had 2-lap records and The boat did a 31.29 for the Q hydro (X447). As that was a better time than the open hydro record I set last year with a 4s rigger, of course I had to have a go at taking that record too. And... it was going really well until the last turn when I turned in a little tight and embedded the left sponson into a bouy. Bugger. So a bit of repair and I'll be ready to race some Q hydros in a SUHA regatta at the end of the month.

Quick update. We hosted a SUHA round this weekend and I got to run in Q sport hydro. On the down side there was only one other entry to race against, on the up side I won three out of the four heats to take first for the weekend.

Ran on an x443 Saturday, and after reworking an x445 was going faster on Sunday and used the same from batts for a heat, around 75%. Lots of positive comments on how the boat runs.
As a side note, the big brother (1/8 scale nitro version) laid down a 13.31 second lap, and that was impressive to watch, I think that was a fastest lap ever for a 1/8 scale in SUHA. Something to aim for...
