I'm glad it worked good for you Egneg! I wish I could have been there too!

This is a beautiful boat. I like how you took the stock hull and added your own ideas. Looks great! I have book marked this build. I just started the Miss K and look here for detail ideas. Great.

Thanks I appreciate your comments but the real credit should go to Laurie Doering as she did some of the stuff first such as the mahogany veneer and I copied her to some extent. She had an article in the fall 2008 issue of RCBM.

It looks like crap, but for a boy from VA not bad.

Thanks Douggie and Jim that is the issue with Laurie's article. She also has quite a detailed thread on the build over at RRR but the pics are still not back up yet.

Ran the shovel again today and it ran great after some adjustments. Had a GPS reading of 43.4 MPH (70 kph for metric folks). It was faster without it though as the E-Trex weighed 5.2 oz. and I had it towards the front (only place it could go) so the sponsons ran a bit wet.

I ran the boat for the third time today and have come to the conclusion that I need a different turn fin. I have the CF one from OSE but it flexes under load. Any suggestions as to what would work better on this hull would be greatly appreciated.

                    I ran this for a bit http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-aqub9516

The mount fit great. It worked awsome but was to big for our club. So I butchered it up to fit our rules. Now it works pretty good.

On a side note I'm one of those people that only care about how it runs but even I can appretiate what an amazing job you did.

Thanks Sneasle - with a bit of prop work I should have it going a little over 45 mph.
