I like the ply sheeting on the hull floor, did you make that or does it now come with the kit??

Thanks - I used 3/32 plywood and a 3/4 forstner bit for the holes. If you look at the center hole in the front it's off a bit. I measured wrong but it won't be seen once the top is on.

I have made a bit of progress on this hull - here are some pics.

The Poly-flex has been sanded around the stuffing tube and ride pads. I have also made the hull penetrations and fitted the hardware. The next step is to beef up the motor mount a bit, seal all the wood parts, and add the flotation.

Looking good mate. Good idea to beef up the motor mount too,the motor screws dig into the wood pretty bad..Don't forget to seal all the the bracing :)
Another idea is once the deck is on cut out the center bulk head, it's makes it easier to fit the batteries..

Thanks for the advice ... if you look at the first post I added some carbon fiber rod just in front of the center chunk of wood (and also at the front) so I would have that option.

I have a question about the pink foam used for the flotation.

1. What is used to glue it down? I tried shoe goo and that ate the foam.

2. Do you sand it to shape or use a razor blade?

If I need to glue the foam down I use 5 minute epoxy. A razor blade or thin sharp knife works well. A sharp serrated bread knife is good too.

I had planned on a side outlet and already have the penetration/hardware for it. The exhaust could be used but will be plugged from the inside.
