No problem! Sorry.if I sounded on edge this weekend. ..I was....my kids puppy got ran over the day after Christmas. We only had him for 4 months but we We're very attached to him. The low life who ran him over right in front of my house didn't bother to stop. The kids have been taking it really hard and I just haven't been in a good mood as a result of it.

Man the cheetah and daytona come out the mold looking beautiful. I did give it a coat of wax/polish before I delivered it, as I do with all my builds.

Thanks Brandon. I could tell when you laid eyes on it you were impressed. The boat turned out awesome and I'm proud to say I built it. I can't wait till you run it. It should be quick on 6s, but a beast on 7s and sick on 8s.

II found roller bearings to use instead. Not cheap but, they should work fine.

I've seen rudders closer to the transom and others like this build. Is there any advantage to one or the other? I'm only running 4S for oval and offshore. I've also seen buddies go farther towards the starboard side to mount the rudder too so, I'm not sure where I want to put my rudder. The HOTMBC in texas has some guys running the short extension rudder that I have (same as your but, the shortest extension) and a strut like mine almost against the transom.

Lastly, some guys mod the sponsons and some don't. Do you or no? They seem a bit off on the rear pads.

As for the strut. I had to do the same thing. I ended up use reducer bushing ( Octura Part number. OCTOC68RB which is the PROP REDUCER BUSH .250/.187. from Graves Rc Hobbies) that are made for converting from .250 to 3/16ths. Then you can use the Teflon bushing in it. On my set up I pushed the one in the back and then removed the flange on the second one for the front, but some lock tight on it and pushed it in. In the one pic where the |x| is is where the front bushing sets. Now I can run the 3/16th Teflon bushing in it. Looks to me you should be able to do the same, just push the front one in a little so you can get stuffing tube in the nose of it as well.

Great build, love the CF, looks amazing.

I dunno on the rudder extension and strut length. My hope was to give the boat some extra length so it doesn't flip as easily as they do. I didn't do anything to the sponsons, last cheetah I built was the same way and ran just fine.

Thanks! The owner just sent me a few videos this morning of its maiden. The thing is quicker than I thought. He's running only 6s in it at the moment with low c batteries. He said he made like 10 laps and the low voltage didn't kick in. I'm waiting on the video to upload, I'll post it here.
