Ummmmm well its too late now but I definitely wouldn't have put it there. Why put below the water line? What happens when the suction from the water while running it pulls it out? That's what I'd be concerned with. All the boat that I've ever seen that has them, has them above the water line. Just my .02

I run those plugs on every boat I have, all below the waterline...never an issue. Its just fine where it is. There is no suction of water when its running, when its on plane its out of the water totally anyway.

Well alrighty then. No worries. I still wouldn't do that. But hey, you know more than I do anyway. Just seemed like a potential problem and I don't like taking chances. Less holes below the water line is a better chance in keeping water out. Just my humble opinion.

It is tight... No suction will pull it out, trust me.... :-) If any, the water flow when plug is lost, will create suction and it will suck it all out....
Also, When the boat is running and lets say I will get around high 40's speed, this section will be super dry, out of the water, no water suction will be present.
This boat at full speed will be on the top of the water like skis on the snow... I have no concerns.... No potential problems IMO also....

It's cool, everybody does things differently. ...I just would never drill below the waterline unless it's necessary, that's all. Carry on. Lol

1. Cut the mounting screws for the right length to install reinforcing trays.
2. Pick the right nylon washers for the screws to be used when inserted from the bottom.
3. JB weld the motor mount to the reinforcement trays.
4. Apply the Magic Goop along the edge of the reinforcement trays with motor mount installed.
