gil, why don't you use castle bec to save some weight?

John I don't think that a 50grams receiver pack is an issue.Boat ran really nice but the main problem ,just figured out arriving at home, was the rudder blade failure.I still can't believe that a Speedmaster rudder can suffer this damage but with all the power and pressure in the transom during a turn at high speed it happened.Wednesday will be the next water test and hope evrything come true to post a nice video. Thanks Gill

Gill, is it the picture or am I seeing the leading edge rolled on that prop that is next to the rudder?

Hi fellas as promised boat went to water today. Not the best day for boat testing as it was very windy and choppy and we had to wait two hours till things could slow down but I couldn't resist and went to water with conservative power to be on the safe side:Aspec 5S 4.4A and Prather 240 modifed. Rudder blade substitued by a CMDI one reinforced with c.f.....everything went good for now.video: http://youtu.be/MBL7RGrzmdY Thanks Gill

Thanks John.Riggers are different animals compared to other classes so takes time to get them properly dialed.I'm not sure what is the problem but what i'm observing is the left motor is consuming more power than the right: after a meter inspection I had 32% on the right battery and 21% on the left. Both are well balanced with low IR.I will need to make more tests to confirm if there is any difference between motor's power. Thanks Gill

just a thought, maybe swap props. maybe they arent drawing same power. 2 castles with data-logging would be nice, huh?

Gill, sounds to me like they messed up packaging those motors and sent you two different motors, you should check the kv on them.

Some updates: spent the whole weekend testing the boat with different props and figured out that an unkonwn problem with the left motor is causing a big interference with the top speed...definetively motors are spinning different rpms.Removed the TPpower and replaced with 2 Neu 1527 1D on 6S and SF 240 with datalogging......now what I can say is driving this boat is a joy.Temps, amps and and speed are great. This week more tests with video. Thanks Gill
