While I've been building the ML Boatworks Lauterbach hydro, I've also been putting together the Classic Hydros "Blaster" kit. It was purchased here from Steve.

A really simple kit, Just follow the numbers & viola. There it is.
All the filling & sanding is done & she is ready for a coat of sealer.

Yes 4s with a Turnigy 2200kv outrunner & 120A ESC to start.
But I might set it up for our restricted class sports hydro. That's a 1500kv Proboat motor & the 45A ESC later on.

Well spotted DJ. That's my Hi Tech baking oven. The back of the old Ford wagon parked in the sun. Gets pretty hot in there with the tailgate closed.
Great for curing epoxy enamel paints. Not so good for little kids & dogs. Seen some horrible stories on that over the years.

Yes it does get very hot and quick too if its 100f 38c a normal car can heat up too 140f 60c in 15 minutes, now thats an oven....cool idea ya got there Paul... DJ

I like that...... I put molds on the roof of the Black Tahoe some times, too much junk in the trunk.

A nice simple paint job on this one. Just the team name & some pin striping.

All set up & ready to fly.
Turnigy H3126 Heli outrunner, 2200kv.
A trusty old HiModel GX200 ESC. Because it fit into the space nicely.
RCBB 4s 6000mah 55c Lipo.
Starting with an X640 prop. It hasn't touched the water in years.
I'll have to wait for the weekend to test it out though.

A question; where do you get your epoxy paint from?? Is it in a spray can, or a tin from the auto paint supplier???

The epoxy paint is just the
'Wattyl' Killrust Epoxy Gloss Enamel. It's available at most hardware stores & Auto parts shops.
But there are other brands that make that type of paint too. I don't even bother to clear coat or even buff it.

And yes. I just use the rattle cans. But it's available in tins as well.

Paul, this looks great too, just like your other builds. I love red lettering on white or vise versa. In fact when next summer comes hopefully I can build my ML hydros and I want to get a Leica Themed scheme---I am a big fan of the Leica camera. That has only two colours as well: red and white.
What I really want to say is that looking at your boats reminds me when I was younger looking at magazines filled with beautiful women and how I used to and feel the pain
I must admit that at my age now looking at your boats it hurts even more!
