Seems like you have the issues ironed out now, going quite well...
After i work out a few other projects out, i will be revisiting the 2 stage conversion idea. Basically it will be a bolt in concept, you will have to change out the impeller though, as the new ones will be different pitches .
THAT would be fantastic... I can't wait to see what you come up with.

There will be a whole set of parts available thru Steve at OSE soon, will be sending a care package his way in the next few days.
    Regards Mick
Yup, looks like he received the package... ordering today!

      Mike,
The wear ring guides are there merely for locating the impeller and ensuring the close tolerance. With the gap around the nozzel, this is not a problem and will not affect the performance of the pump. I assume when you are talking about drilling into the rear cone you are referring to the water pickup for the cooling? if so then offset the hole a little , it doesnt matter if the pickup nipple is tight against the edge of the vane, you will still have plenty of pressure going thru the water cooling.
And trust me when i say that by reducing the inlet hole is not a good idea, these pumps so far have not had the problem of unprimming or lack of suction, they pump so much water that i would fear you will infact starve the impeller by reducing inlet size. Just to make sure that you did NOT use a 2mm tap, using this will make the holes too loose for the screws,
Darin , nice work on the build mate, the video is a nice touch, interesting to see this unit work in other hulls.
      Cheers Mick

Cool thread Dain... I found it in the process of looking (still) for your motor test thread with the test bench...
