But ill try would be fun for sure!!Originally posted by iridebikes247 View Postawesome boat and amazing building. now you need to convince about 5 of your friends to build them for full out offshore style races. would get pretty rough out there lol
The you very much rickwess, i learnt everything i know right here through reading and asking. I still have much to learn.Originally posted by rickwess View PostI look at build threads like these and quickly conclude that I have much to learn. WOW is all I can come up with.

Well I didn't come up with it, Ryan showed me this picture and said I wouldn't mind this, but with HPR on it.... so we played around with it until we landed on this. Surprisingly it looks like a lot of material already out there.

Yeah i follow Australian Superboat championships on facebook, they had the design posted by kent so i asked if he could just use that and put hpr 233 in it.
Kent being as he is with that imagination wanted to come up with his own and so came up with this. I was very happy with it so thats what we went with
Yes it may look like alot out there, but how different can you get when your using the silhouette of a scale boat? I think what you came up with was awesome, love it!Originally posted by nata2run View PostWell I didn't come up with it, Ryan showed me this picture and said I wouldn't mind this, but with HPR on it.... so we played around with it until we landed on this. Thanks, Ryan! good point. A silhouette scale boat can't look much different "I guess" I'm glad that you like the concept, and even more glad that the boat runs totally awesome!!. When in QLD next time I demand to see this thing in person LOL. Hey mate, I used Savox 2270sg High volts..Originally posted by jj2003 View PostHi Ryan,
What did you use in the servo box in pic 4? Obviously savox but particulars matter! lol
I'm seeking some info on a build like this as well!
The problem was, I run Futaba and they say to run the reciever R603FS at 6v max.
Ive found a few people who just run off a lipo @ 7.4v anyway and say its been fine.
But didnt wana risk this much money on a $90 reciever blowing up while im going flat out and may need to turn lol.
So to use the 2270's to there max potential somewhere around 444 Oz-in @7.4v i used a Gryphon Regulator.
You plug your 1 or 2 servo leads into a specific slot and according to what slot its in theres little Dil switches on the back and you can select to step up the voltage or step down etc.
So i have the reciever slot set @ 6v and the 2 servos set @7.4 and the unit its self is obviously a 2s lipo . Make sense?
I use them in my Heli's.
I also turn everything on and off via this.. Has a flag that saids " Remove before flight" lol i hope not
Here it is if you wana check it out.
Cheers Ryan
