From the pics it doesn't look bad at all, I think if you had left those white/dry spots wet with the epoxy it might have soaked in and disappeared. I think those spots are where the stripper pulled the epoxy out of the CF just at the surface. And they were probably areas where the CF didn't get totally soaked to begin with. (Just a theory) But over all it looks pretty good considering what happened.

I tried an area before I did the entire thing and let it saturate for about 30 min. It almost seems under the finished layer? It wont wet out for some reason. However, The worst of the areas will be covered, the rest of it will be difficult to see once everything is in... so Im not sure how it will end up.



Ive got some different options of carbon here and will have one more coming soon. Ill place those options in and place the tray on top and see if I want to proceed to change it or leave it alone.

Also something I noticed last night that's not a big deal but one of those minor details I overlooked.... My plate logo is opposite the deck logo. Had it crossed my mind I would have had the painter flip the deck logo around even tho it would have made it backwards... or thought about it when I should have so the boat was painted correctly as it is, had Kent do the CF part the other way. Guess it doesn't matter when the hatch is on and now you can read it from both sides

Scott, I wouldn't worry about the direction as you should do what look best on the boat when looking from the outside, and like vice when you look inside. It may not look cool if you flip the logo on the plate. I have the exact same issues but when you flip it looks wrong. Good to hear that you got things under control. She should be sweet!!

I considered that too kent and thanks for saying it. The dice inside I dont think would look as good the other way and if I had the deck logo the other way someone would say "oooh its backwards thogh"..

Maybe you should give this material a try, I bought some, but did not use it yet. The colors and contrast are fantastic and you get max strength...

None. Still deciding on what I'm doing with the inside. The set back kinda stole my ambition on it. I may not get back to it until after the holidays.

I've got a few different sample carbons coming in. Once here ill figure it out and get back on it. I've got a few other builds I took on for people I've got to get done first.

Alright Gents. Knocked out several customer builds. Been chattin with Kent (Nat2run... cf parts) And finally got motivated today and worked myself a Valentines gift. My motivation is back. Kents workin on something for me. Im excited again.

Longer it sat the worse the whitish areas got, so it had to get covered. I did a couple pursuits in this material and after seeing it applied there was no doubt in my mind I had to do it, it just took a few weeks to get the courage. Ive never been intimidated to lay up a hull until this. I hated covering what is in my opinion the most beautiful lamination process (HPR) but, it had to be done and now that it is, I couldn't be happier.
