    1st build. 56" Super Daytona

I started this build on KBB a while ago I figured I'd get it going here too, so I'm gonna get everyone up to speed as to where I'm currently at. I'm just getting into the FE boating hobby and thanks to Rocstar I'm already addicted. I'm starting my 1st build with the Figtercat Super Daytona, I plan on running twin TP Power 5660's 1100kv on 10s, with 300A swordfish ESC's. I'm sure I'll need plenty of help and guidance throughout the build, thankfully I'm a 30 min drive from one of the best builders around. If you've built one of these and have some tips that could help me along they are greatly appreciated. So lets get this started.

1st step I think I'm going to have ROCSTAR do a CF inlay. Also laid some core mat up in the bow and along the seams.

Got quite a bit of work done on the super Daytona. got the carbon fiber from Kieth for the motor mounts, got them cut out and mocked up (thanks Keith)

got the CF top plate masked and templates drawn for mounting the ESC's and servo.

got the ESC's and servo mocked up, and the motor mounts cut and mocked in place

The ESC's mounted and covered with CF

Also got the hatch bolts drilled and mounted.

Just finished up soldering the esc battery leads together and the cap banks. The underside of the top plate don't look so pretty lol
and soldering 3-8 guage wires together is a big PIA

ok now were all caught up here at OSE. I will now be updating as the build continues..

Nice build. Just as a safety reminder, make sure you are wearing a respirator when you are filing and sanding CF. On a microscopic level, CF dust is like a spear, and when they get in your lungs and blood stream they can cause a lot of damage.

Got some work done today, got the motor mounts drilled and tacked in place here

motors installed so we could bend up the stuffing tubes

motor mounts epoxied in with west systems gflex

also had the hatch Kevlar reinforced

got the holes drilled for the carbon fiber top plate stand-offs too, next gotta get the stuffing tubes secured in place, and drill holes for the cooling lines then she will be ready for paint
