    Home made Cheetah motor mount

Got my new motor ( Leopard 4092 2080 ) going in my Cheetah. Bought it here at Ose and got the free water jacket. Wanting to run the long (76mm) jacket and also be able to use a mount with a rear ring, these is what I came up with. Had some 2 inch x 1/8 inch flat Alum. laying around and about 5 hrs. later this is what I had. No big machine shop just a Dremel and a Drill. The rear ring fits over the screws that hold the rear end bell on. I think for what I had to work with it came out pretty good.

It looks damn good, for using just a dremal and a drill!! I wish the makers of the mounts would take into consideration that the motor hangs below the mount. I think they need to address this and make the mounts taller. Where we don't have to, I also had to alter my mount in my MG when I rebuilt it.

        Good lookin mount!!

That's nice, lets you keep very short wires from the motor to esc

Yes. Just soldiered the bullets right onto the esc and plugged motor wires in. Also lets me keep the battery wire short.

It looks good, I am very lazy when it comes to removing parts or I am in a rush and like my bolts sticking up, but that is just me. I have to do it over and over.
