    micro servo question

    Hi new to this forum,
Has any one every tried using a micro servo on a outoutboard , reason asking is i have just built scratch mono and a reagular servo stading up is to tall for the boat. Witch leads to my second question if i lay the servo sideways it fits well can I only run one linkage on a outboard. Here are some pics.

You can run a standard servo on its side, and run a single pushrod to the motor - IF the pushrod is straight and heavy. Otherwise the rod will flex. I used to do this on an OB tunnel years ago.
