This build stems from a pretty nasty crash with my Traxxas Spartan that totaled the boat. I was making a high speed pass in my channel and lost control due to chine walk... Thus one of my batteries and canopy are somewhere at the bottom of my channel. I'm into mono hulls and thought I'd share this build since I haven't seen to many guys building larger mono boats. The pics below are the start of the Delta Force 41 hull and my traxxas components I can transfer and still use. More to come,,,

Specs
2 3s 25c 11.2v 6400 Mah Onyx batteries, 1420-1800kv castle motor, 42x 55 grimRacer prop, dual pickup rudder, carbon fiber turn fins, and CNC machined trim tabs, Garmin Forerunner 201 GPS. I ran this same setup in my spartan at hit a top speed of 58.6 mph in a light chop. Battery temps were 120deg F and gave about 10-13min run time. I found the setup to be pretty reliable and fast enough to get you in trouble real quick....

Sounds like you had the Spartan running pretty good! I also have one but have a T180/4082 set up. Already thinking the DF 41 will be the mono that replaces the Spartan once I'm bored with it. Interested to see how your build turned out.
