First build Outboard powered Dumas deep v 20

Well, I was inspired by a build I saw on another forum of a dual outboard Scarab open fisherman replica. I had always wanted to diols one but every said I was crazy. I first tried to buy a small deep v with tall gunnels and couldnt find one. Then i tried building one from scratch but it didn't turn out well. After hours searching the net I found what I wanted, a Dumas 24 inch deep v boat kit
that had taller gunnels than all the other boats in its size range. Anyways, here are some build pics...



I then filled the 3 forward compartments with foam just in case of an accident



Since I'm gonna go with an outboard, I added another reinforcement to the transom then added some transom knees for strength


I then fabricated an outboard bracket with enough support that I can either hang two small outboards or one big one. It's not finished yet just mocked up. I hope it works!


And finally, I cut out the cross supports so I can make a drop in liner. If i go with a single i am going to model it after a flats/bay boat. If i go with twins, it will be modeled after an offshore open fisherman. Does anyone have any motor suggestions?

Here is the finished product. Now just waiting on the mini outboard to get back in stock.

Have been looking for a boat like this to build but have not been able to find plans for it. Do you by any chance have plans for this boat?
