TT Outlaw Jr. OBL: We Can Build It Faster, Stronger

Ran the boat stock for a while then decided to set it up properly. The CG was way off, around 20%, set it up at 30% and made a big difference. Unfortunately, there was a small leak around the stinger and with the hull more balanced, water was able to get to the motor and toast it.

Plan is to use a more powerful motor, replace the non adjustable solid shaft stinger, stiffen up the hull.

Action shot were you can see the solid shaft stinger

Ripped out plastic radio box, motor mount tray, laid down a layer of CF and added a transom doubler

Was getting ready to install the adjustable stinger and cable set I bought from HOR and realized it is a 2pc cable. The cable set is 4mm, going to order a 3/16" stinger and flex shaft now.

That's a whole lot of motor in such a small hull!

It's going to fly man... you may need turning fins now. Have you thought about i? Can you start a bill of materials? P.S.: What are you planning on doing with the stock motor I see laying around?

Hadnt thought of turn fins yet. The stock motor is fried from water getting to it. So far my BOM is:
$240 for RTR minus batteries from Tower
$80 For used Leopard 4047 w/ cooling jacket
        $25 for aluminum motor mount
$45 for stinger and 4mm cable set
$25 for battery 4S 2200 (bought to fit in stock radio box)
$50 for carbon fiber, epoxy resin kit

Did you by any chance disasembled the stock motor? Sometimes is just a little rust and dirt than some good cleaning can fix.
