    Mini-V First Build

Hi everyone, just sharing my first boat build. Had a Nitro V but never got into modifying it.

Bought a ProBoat Mini-v while on vacation and was admiring the brushless setups at the hobby store. Last electrics I messed with were 540 brushed motors and nicad batterys. Switched to nitro for the runtime simpicity.

Decided to buy some cheap parts to upgrade this little boat to see how I like the newer electric setups. I may grow into a larger boat depending on this experience.

Im thinking of keeping the components in their stock location. The esc will go in the very back, and the receiver will go where the combo rx/esc is.

Heres some of the parts I ordered, hopefully they'll be in by next week.

    S2838-2800 Brushless Inrunner (2800kv)
Birdie 100A Brushless Boat ESC (NO BEC)
    HobbyKing Micro UBEC 3A / 5v
    Turnigy 1800A Servo 8g/1.7kg/.10sec
    Hobby King GT-2 2.4Ghz 2Ch Tx & Rx
    Micro Hardware system
    Octura .098 cable system
    Etti Coupler 3.17mm to .098
Silicone water jacket for 300 Size Motors

Also got a couple props and some fittings for the water cooling. Still have to buy batteries and a decent charger. I thought a 3s 1050 Li-po would be a good fit for size/weight considerations.
    Rhino 1050mAh 3S 11.1v 40C Lipoly Pack

Will post updates as soon as I have the parts.

Got my parts in from OSE, disassembled, and started putting it together. I still need to glue the flex to the shaft and grease/insulate the brass tube. Also Need to bend a wire for the rudder as its not long enough. Ill re-mount the stock motor in it just to test out the new gear. I think the new motor and remaining parts are still a week out.

Will update as soon as I finish the running gear.

I thought a dual motor setup on a larger boat would be cool but how do you connect multiple esc's/servos? Ive heard of y-cables but havent been able to spot any on online stores.
