Since being completely gutted to donate his innards to the sleek German stablemate, Vader is not happy and demands a potent setup..........more powerful than before!

Old setup which went to the Racemaster was a 1717 6s2p SF200a x450.

I just hope he runs as well as he did before................

Oh, It'll run better. I ran a 2215 on 9s29 in that hull and was hitting 70 with a modded x457.

Wow................tough work getting all the old epoxy out, sanded the bottom with 100 grit and got it all back fairly smooth.

The nice fightercat mount had to lose part of its mount bracket cuz i wasnt going to move my servo mount..................also beveled the bottom edge of the brackets to better fit angle of hull. Had to do a little bit of adjusting to get the motor to line up but finally got it right.

Well.............. I had the boat finished and ran it twice for 25 seconds and the ESC crapped out.................So, i had to send it back to FC racing and just received a new one.

The boat ran great for the short time it did run and was a beast!!

Here is the new ESC and a size comparison to a Swordfish 200s, which is not a small ESC in its own right.

The motor wires you see are "jumpers" i had to make. There are 6mm female bullets sticking out of the end of the ESC, and the motor bullets that came with the motor are also 6mm............so I used 6mm bullets all the way around on the motor side. The batt leads have 8mm connectors.

OK, after the ESC fiasco I threw one of my trusty Swordfish 240hv's in for the 8s2p running.

I had to literally spend an hour cleaning and then wet sanding the black soot off of the motor and cooling jacket from the blown up ESC.

I think its almost back to original condition..................

Took him out and let him RIP......................Vid is cooking................you will like it, really hauls the mail!!!!!!

Thanks Rum...............x452/3. I'm thinking the same prop, i have an x457!! I'll keep the guesses coming then I'll spill it! This is the best its ran and the first time I enjoyed it since I yanked the 1717 out.

your making me want to sell the CC1717 and motor mount out of my 39" Thunder Tiger OBL and drop in a 5692 1320kv and run it on 6s

Thanks Todd................With a 1320kv you'll need to spin something in the 55-57mm range...........and on 6s you need a beefy ESC.
