P.S. De-tongued X431s and Y531s work great. I've also had success trimming the diameter by a mm or two.

He loves that thing, I have a hard time putting it in the water, he nudges it and thinks its a toy, he dosen't bite at it though. He won't go in the water farther then he did in the video though. Would be cool if he could swim out and get it with out putting a hole in it.

Thanks, I'll try and detounge my x431 as it is a little chewed up anyways so if I mess it up no bid deal, plus it will give me some experience on working with modding props. I will buy some other props to have a better selection and tuning options, but all I have right now is a x531 and x431 and a y535 (way too big for this rigger) I'm hoping the x431 will help with the heat. The motor is super hot after that video. I need a temp gauge to keep and eye on that stuff.

Here are some various pics I have. I added the fuel tube over the flex cable, and shrink wrap on the tube exiting the transom. I thought you might want to see my stand I made also, it has slits in the foam to insert the hatch covers.

Here is my deproped prop, I detounged my x431. The plastic flexes too much and it broke, time to invest in a metal prop.

I finially implemented cooling to the motor. Looks like it will work better then not having it, It will blow in the back of the endbell a little through the inside, and a little around the outside. I am going to make a CF bracket to hold the wires against the side of the tub, away from the motor and fan.

OK, I need some help. I ran it today, it did nothing but hop and flip, I didn't change any setting from the last run. It was very frusterating, becaue it would hop then the front would dig in the water and flip over, not sure what is going on. Could it be that my sponsons do not sit flat if I was to put it on the table, they have a dead rise angle to them, very slight. Help a guy out, it was very frusterating, I then put the strut up a little and it didn't help. then down, but then it fliped over and drifted to the middle of the lake before I got to it with my raft, Then it had a few drops of water, I didn't want to risk it so I went home. Also my spektrum radio seemed to have interference, not when driving, but when stationary, what would be a cause of that?

As I was looking at the build manuel that came with the kit, I found that he set the nose of the strut 3/16 from the bottom of the tub, and the rear of the sturt 1/4 from the bottom, I checked mine and it was way more then that, like 1/4 more, so I set it there and will try it out soon, hopefully it will be more stable, and more consistant.

Ok, tried out the new settings, and a new place to run. Problems started with tons of leaves in the water. It was still hopping pretty bad, but better I think, I then raised the strut up more, and it seemed quicker at half throttle, at full throttle it bounced a lot, and then the nose would catch the water and dunk under, it was making me frusterated. I think I will level the strut out parralel with the tub bottom, to help keep the nose up a little bit, and running where there are no leaves.

The fan cooling worked I think, the battery wires still get in the way, but when I bring it in and get the wires away from the fan, I can feel the heat moving through the motor, so I know i'm in the right direction in that area.

Its kind of embarrasing when you have a large crowd of people, and every few seconds its nose diving under the water, or fliping over. The water was pretty calm, some soft ripples. Anything I am missing or doing wrong? It was running great, not sure what happend.

I just order a new motor with a cooling fan built in to the end of it. one of these might help you with cooling. as far as nose diving the only thing I can think of is maybe you have too much weight fwd

OK it used to work fine, what have yo done to it?
1. added a fan
2. changed the prop.
3. you added c.f. in battery compartment did you CA or epoxy?
is the prop the same size as the old one? or larger?
I know that the fan is small but is it forward some how? try putting some weight in the back at the transom,
is it possible that water may have intruded in the sponsons and saturated the foam? just some things for you to think about.

The only thing that was changed since my last video is the fan. I think I will try running it where there isn't stuff in the water to get stuck on the prop, and rudder.

Dialed in!

Ran it tonite, I ran at my normal place, the water was flat, it flew, it was probably the quickest run yet, at least that is how it seemed. It seemed pretty stable, only flipped it twice, my fault. The fan works well, still gets hot, but the fan keeps it cooler then before. the tub is out of the water and the front rides on the very back of the sponsons, they barely touch, I think I can lower the strut slightly, but it jumps up on plane much better then before and no hopping, so I think I will leave the settings alone. I think its a winner now.
I will wear this thing out now, at least till I have another boat to run, crackerbox is in repair, hydromite is waiting for paint work, so this boat will get lots of use... unless I buy a delta force 22 or something and start my twin powered cat. Thanks guys for your help and support on this project . Just need a detounged x632, can't find one anyware. I guess I'll have to start to work my own props .
