I should say that I have my rudder trim to the left to keep it straight. I also have shims on the right side of the strut looking from the back. If your rudder center mounted? I was thinking going to a smaller motor, a 2860 or a 3650 what do you think and what kv?

Rudder offset - I think i mentioned how much in a previous post.
Also that I am having great luck with my 4600kv 2S saddle pack config outlined in my previous post

I just realized that Jesse, Ill look into getting a few 2s packs and I was thinking a leo 2860 4050 kv. What do you think? I calculated it out to be about the same weight as yours with that combo

I had a mono that baffled me with the whaa whaa, hop hop..............I gave it NEGATIVE on the stinger(strut for you) and it stopped completely!!! Try it..........give it a fair amount and bring your adjustment toool to the lakeside with you. COG still needs to be around 30% in my opinion, also dont run a lifter prop, run an x or m 4 series.

Its funny you mention that Make-a-Wake. I just lifted my tabs all the way up so they would not be in the water. Then I pushed my strut up and gave it all the negative I could. It helped very much! The bow is still just a bit hoppy on glass water. Will lowering the strut while still having the negative lower the bow because the prop can lift the boat from the rear?

Raise the strut even more which will plant the boat and give it even more negative if you need to. Make small adjustments at a time...................like raising the strut without more negative, then more negative leaving the height alone etc.................

I have it at the max height and max negative I can go. I am running the x440 prop

OK, so the last thing you can now do is the possibly bring the height down a smidge leaving the angle the same, or leaving it as-is and moving your cog forward or backward a half in or so..................just play with it, but you are real close now. I found that the good bit of negative along with some tabs really worked, push your tabs back down a bit so they come into play!!

Sounds good, I think I just got lucky with mine. Looks like you are getting close; is that with the new motor and batteries?

Make a wake, I think that's the next thing to try. It might solve the problem.
Jesse I still have the 3674 on 3s 5000 as my combo. I want to exhaust all options and setups before I spend money on another motor and lipos.

Ok, I moved my strut down while keeping the same angle and ran her on 3s 5000. We had some good 3 in chop on the lake and it went well!!! I think she is just about perfect with the 3s, now I have to keep her in the water on the 4s. Then I will call this project finished.

Jesse, when you run your shockwave on glass water, where does the water line start? Is it by the first step?

A 3674 is a big and heavy motor for your MHZ Shockwave,I vote for a NEU 1509 motor but this is not the same price

Rich, not sure I have ever run her on glass, I usually prefer water...
Not sure where!?! I am thinking between steps? I'll pay better attention next time.

I agree on your big motor. I wasn't shooting for record speeds and am perfectly happy with what I gots. The castle sidewinder motor isn't too expensive and I think it's pretty perfect for n2 offshore class. Even if not racing, I am really happy with the 2S setup.

I was thinking the leo 3650 which is about the same as the sidewinder spec wise. OR the leo 2860 what do you think? Jesse what size cable are you running? .130?

Hey Rich, hope you get some luck with your Shockwave! Mine is running pretty good, I've had it a few years, couldn't even tell you what's in it nowdays! Mine is mostly a basher, just run it around for fun. I have never GPS'ed it but it certainly beats my Miss Geico no problem!
