Another question... Stinger or Strut?
I notice struts are a lot cheaper. Is this just because there is more CNC work on the stingers?
tfl_503b80.jpg This is the best stinger Kintec has got $44
The equivalent strut would be $30 from OSE as Kintec doesn't sell a 1/4 strut
The boat previously had a strut on it and I believe a new strut would go in the already drilled holes nicely.
With the stinger I think I will need to fill the old holes and drill a new lot.Everything that has a beginning, has an End

Ok I have been doing some body work. Filled all the cracks using some Loctite body filler. I then had the horrible job or sanding it all down. Probably my fault for applying too much in the first place.
The hatch I have filled in the hole for the exhaust with fiberglass sheets layered up. Its a lot stronger than it used to be. Filled a few cracks on the hatch as well but that still needs sanding.
The paint should be coming tomorrow. I decided to go with Hycote's Double Acrylic Ford Signal Green.
Here's the boat now

Finished the sanding on the outside then cleaned the dust off it. Paint didn't arrive so I decided to do the Re-enforcing on the inside with the carbon-kevlar. This is my first time using CK and finishing resin. I went over the inside of the hull with some fine grade sandpaper before starting. Hardest bit was cutting around the engine mounts but overall it went in nicely with help from Keith's step by step guide on Fightercat's forum. Just waiting for it to dry now. Will get some pics up tomorrow.Everything that has a beginning, has an End

Here's some pics

I heard adding an extra coat of epoxy on top gives it some shine so I lightly spread some more on top today. It's still wet in the pic though. Looks good now

Boat still not painted as weather has gone cold again........
Plan is to put the motor as close to the back as possible for power to prop.
Have bought the 16s 200amp FC esc. Still in need of a motor.Everything that has a beginning, has an End
