Hi silver, to answer your question about motor placement, sure can do. But wait till you have the struts mounted. It's not suppose to be random, but rather depends on all your other parts to hit a COG of around 35% so a good idea would be to have all parts and place in the hull ( I mean everything including batteries hoses wires ) and measure. It gets tricky if you end up at 40% and have to add weights in the rear. All the best with the build. Just ask if you need help.

Do you know exactly the COG of the Mystic 114?

Mmm, I don't think it can be 100% the same on all, I think the slightest angle difference or props or whatever could change it. Mine is around 38% at the moment and I sometime fear it will blow over. But if you have the stingers/drives at 0 to -1 degree it will make things easier. Again if I could get mine up to speed would also help to see if it need a change. I think your speed sounds ok you are using 45 props yes? Maybe 47's will get you 120? How fast you want to go anyway? Are your stingers 100% aligned in all directions? Have you measured?

On my first run I had the stringers at 0 degree (full up) and with the 45 props I needed to add extra weight in front. Besides the 2x6s I had to load the boat with another 2x4s cells just to keep the nose down and to avoid going inverted in water.
Yesterday I lowered the struts down to -1 degrees and removed the extra cells for wheight. I must say it was more stable but the whether didnt hepled at all. On my first hight speed run the nose lifted up and landed inverted in water. All my carbon mounts of esc and servo came off place and now I must start the building - glueing from the beginning.
Kent I have tried normal epoxy to glue the carbon legs but no success. They came off after the first run without flipping. Just from water bumping. Then i sanded the base again and used steel epoxy but again the came off.
Today I got fiberglass mixture to try. Lets hope it will hold. Otherwise I will remove everything and place them into position with velcro.

Nick!! That sounds really wired? How can the mounts come off? And where did the glue let go? Did you sand/scuff then used acetone to wipe both hull and carbon mounts? The glue should cover the little mount all the way around including over the mount. I think I would brake the hull if I tried to remove them. Please take a photo and send to me

Ho that’s sound serious, I’m going to use yachtcare Super Epoxy from the trademark Vosschemie.
This transparent stuff will be holding everything in place.
Good luck with rebuilding the parts

                  hi,

i'm thinking about ordering a pair of GP/4714/2/LH/BR and GP/4714/2/RH/BR for the mystic 1140
hope that this is a good starting prop to try out.
                  any comments are welcome.

Should be a good start are your motors 1600kv or 2200?

A good start of props if you are running Leopard with 2200kv will be the 445/2 L/R and then go to higher diameter

ha thanks, i will order them in Germany becausethe props. the propshop in uk doesnt have the R ones only the size bigger.

so i will order also the flexshaft safety and the flex shaft with square end to make sure i will not lose a shaft.

the rest of the building goes ok

                          pictures will follow

Silver, you dont need square ends on the cable. Remember you do need a left and right cable
