Hey Bruiser The build looks great, I am about to be building my first and i'm going all out on my first build, I am waiting on boat to arrive fromthe painter which pics are posted on here from Pro Painter the boat is his latest Clean Getaway. My ? is where did you get the carbon fiber, I am looking for a small sheet to do some of the same things that you have posted here, also I like the pins you used for the hatch, where did those come from? and also what is your idea on the ESC? Sorry for all the ?s but again I am new to this and appreciate any and all advice. Thank You. Scott

Bruiser what do you use to cut the cf it looks really neat

I usually use a jigsaw , clamp on a level and use it as a straight edge/guide to get my cuts straight. I also have used a table saw and miter saw, but you end up wasting about 3mm of material each pass due to the blade width. That add$ up quickly. So i try not to use them unless necessary. If you use a scribe to mark your lines it makes life alot easier compaired to tape and a pencil. Then finish up the edge with a quick 80-100 grit sandpaper sanding block. Bruiser

That is a killer paint job Scott, love the name. is that the hull that OSE sells? I got the carbon from www.protechcomposites.com and the hatch pins from www.mhz-engines.com As far as ESC's, im using Fightercat racing 16/300 and will be mounting them in the side tunnels in front of motors. Thank You Bruiser for the info, and the compliment, I own a cleaning company and sell janitorial products so we named our big boat (Chaparral Sig 290) Clean Getaway so I carried the name on to the rc boat, the hull is a Central RC Hobbies Mystic Sport and I do belive OSE does sell CRCH boats.
I am sure I will be leaning on you guys here in the future, Thank You. Scott

That would work perfect! Metal blade for sure. If I had a vertical bandsaw I would be a happy camper!

I bought my self a few nice tools just for my hobbies I keep them separate from my tools I use for work as I mainly am a marble / granite fabricator but also have a construction company so tools are a necessity for me but the band saw can make life easyChris g

Got the flex shafts, 1/4" to 3/16" from OSE in the mail. In in order for me to get a snug fit on the flex saver bearing i had to make some bushings out of brass and loctite them in. Couldnt find the proper size bearings anywhere online. Not a good pic but you get the idea. IMG_4693.JPG

Bruiser if you dont mind me asking what is a flex saver bearing I never heard of it thanks chris g

If you go to www.mhz-engines.com they sell the flex saver which is basically a bearing carrier with a nipple to lube the flex shaft that mounts on the stuffing tube. It is supposed to keep the flex from whipping around. There is a detailed pic somewhere on this thread of the flex savers. Sorry don't know how to post the link. Bruiser
