Thanks for the great build, keep the pics coming there are two of us following along in Calgary doing the conversion.
If you want to get really fancy with the pexi you can quickly flame the edges with a small torch, it smooths and turns back to clear.(flame polishing)Namba District 16

This is my friends progress from the other day he just got started. I'm waiting for a new hull to come in but I'm thinking of cutting the deck to drop the batteries.
We're going with OS legs because we have parts for them already and I'm waiting to hear back from K. Flynn on the adapters. Can you post of pic of yours when you get it?

If I have a chance to work on one again I would install the box like yours,
one long box and cut the hull all the way so it is low with planty of room for weight distribution..
Looking good so fare and from what I see arround OS is the way to go for this boat.
Also, it has nice mounting plate with all you need for adjustments...
I will post picture of adapter when here...

Today I got the conversion kit from Kriss. All the way from Australia....
So the kit is installed and it fits OS leg perfect!!!
I have my water jacket also installed. It was very hard to put the motor inside without pushing the seals out.
I had to remove the two black bearing caps and then slide the motor can inside (with no problem) and then put the motor back together.... Top and bottom caps of the motor have very square and sharp edge around and I think that was the issue. I was just about to give up on it when I had this fantastic idea....
Fits great now....
On the site note, this $7.00 water jacket has 4 predrilled holes for your choice of installing the nozzles but they all have to be sealed!!! They are not water proof from the factory....DJI Drone Advanced Pilot

Looking good, Kriss's adapter looks like Delrin, should keep the weight down, nice. I was expecting it to be metal like Hyperformance.
Thanks again for the pics! My leg and a fresh VS1 should be here this week.
I have a cooler like that and I never could get it on, I'll give it another shot.
Edit: do you have a water pickup on the leg? I had to order the OS part separately because the V2 leg doesn't have it.
So what are people doing for shaft lube? I run an oiler on my nitro and it gets some lube from the exhaust.
It's pretty easy to rig up from a fuel filter.Namba District 16

So if you are going to use UL-1 motor follow my remarks to install the can inside of the water jacket... Installs easy that way.
It is looking good jacket.... I will use oil to lubricate shaft. maybe a little tank beside the motor with gravity feed.
From what other people are saying the oil has its way of circulating between the two plugs that you can see my yellow fuel line connected.
What should I use to water seal the other inlets on the can, silicone?
My lower lag came in with water pick up installed...

Maybe try teflon tape on the fittings first? It would be nice if you could find the silver plugs that have the rubber o-ring seals that will fit. Sucks that they leak.
My new hull and leg came in so I can get to work too.
My buddy wants to keep the batteries separate in their own compartment so I was thinking of soldering some 5.5 bullets together that he could epoxy into the bulkhead. What do you think? bad idea?
I saw someone had done it with motor wires.

Very good idea.
Are you going to start your thread of your build?
That would be great....
