So I can leave the original 3 caps and just add these 2 outer going pos on one cap to + lead in, then the - on that cap to the pos of the next cap, then the - on the 2nd cap to the - lead? Sound correct?

Gotcha. I have 2 new Turnigy marine 180's and want to make the upgrade so I have to be 100% sure before I start soldering

Well looks like I'm done testing for a while. I installed the new caps (removed the 3 original and put on new) and I can't get it to arm. It accepts programming, but gives ma a "beep, beep" - "beep, beep". I reinstalled caps, added caps, checked polarity 30 times, resoldered 3 times.. I guess its toast. I don't have a replacement and not sure as to when ill get one. Could be a couple weeks.

I've had a similar issue with a seaking 120. Caps where bulged (no magic smoke), replaced caps esc would beep and program but not arm she was done as well.Originally posted by tiqueman View PostWell looks like I'm done testing for a while. This is how the factory is adding the two extra caps. Note the pos/neg terminals. The photo is a brand new V 2.2
Any EE want to venture in on why they are arranged this way?

They are both the same when you look at the nodes. They are all in parallel. :)

I sent the pic to a buddy of mine. As jacked said they are paralleled and they did 2 more because they didn't do one or 3. There is no real reason. Perhaps just because two fit nicely in the receses between the 3.

Man, Scott. If you wouldn't of mentioned you recorded that with your phone I would of sworn you recorded it with a Beta-max over the shoulder recorder
It's nice to see those extra caps on the board, but wouldn't they relieve more stress if added to the power leads? Or is it the same?

I had a whole production crew but it was too windy for them and the boom on the truck swayed too much.
Im pretty sure its the same result.
