Emailed with Ben today and decided that I'll just take a set of the 110mm 3/16 stinger and cut them down and relocate the bushing. So now I will have the 3/16 setup like I really wanted to start with. Plus the FC stingers look better than the ekos ones

Hope my mounts, couplers, other stingers, batteries and a few other things come by Saturday so I can get started this weekend.

Nice bag o' parts there. Are you using these waterpickups?
                http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...?prod=oct-ocsw

I was thinking of using them on mine but was worried about excessive drag.

Yes those are the ones I got. I wanted to see them in person. I was going to install them but in a way that only minimal amount of the pickup was exposed to drag. But I'm second guessing that plan now

I'm a big fan of dual pickup rudders. Especially for a twin setup boat. But it's hard to find one that fits on the back of a cat this size nicely.
I was just brain storming about a solution to this. And had an interesting idea that might work. I can make a single pickup rudder into a dual very simply. Just use the brass tube pickup. Take the brass tube and epoxy/JB weld (after good prep of the area) it to the backside of a single pickup rudder. Just let a very small area of the tube protrude a little below the rudder. Then make it long enough to hook a hose to at the top part of the rudder.

I'm gonna look at some things and see about this idea.

Added a layer of fiberglass cloth and resin inside the hull tonight on the tunnel floor, sponson floor & inner sides and little up the sides of sponsosn outer walls. Just want to give it a little extra strength. After that dries I will sand a little then clean. And add some more cloth and resin as far up and down the seams as I can.

Well USPS failed me today. They sent my last package of stuff to VA instead of my house. So no motor mounts or anything yet.
But lucky me the stingers I'm getting are same as what I have for my daytona project. So I'll use the bases from them to make holes to mount them.
Also I'm debating on slotting the holes to make the mounting vertical depth slightly adjustable. Not sure about that yet. I have some rubber that can act as a seal too.

Sorry the mail got sent to the wrong place.

The position on the stingers looks good.
