I ran 1518/1800 to x447 on 6S1P a side in the 36" sprintcat.
Smaller motors than yours..

I'm thinking I might raise the strut angle a tad and try a set of x450/3's otherwise have a crack at 6s1p. I hope to have some time to play around Sunday.

I hope the water lines will stay out of the props way, they should be fine. I managed to talk my wife into going shopping in the morning and I'll do the office and after she gets back I'll have the late afternoon to do a little testing on the water, I'll try to get some video and I'll show the good and the bad and hope a few experts will chime in to help out with the trimming of this thing.

After far too long, the cats ready to play. I finished things off today by soldering a couple of sets of parallel cables, making up the flex drives (thanks steve :)) and a few other small things like hatch nuts ect. After I shut the office it was almost dark so I took the boat over to the lake fully loaded and taped to see how it'll sit in the water and I'm very happy with the angle and height it sits, it looks like its ready to launch. I found the boat a little heavy to carry so back in the workshop I put it on the scales and they read 10.7kg or 23.6lb, it'll be interesting to see how the 447's go pushing the weight. I'll get some footage when I get the time to take it for a spin.

THanks Doc But I'll only have to wait a few more days for the stock from OSE, I'm a little busy building a 3.6 x 6m chook pen/ bird aviary this weekend for my missus and kids so I won't be needing one any sooner.

sweet news, I just happen to have a set of those props although they've been cut back a to around 47-48mm.

I run a twin Falcon cat with 1717's and T180's and all runs perfect on Propshop 5017 3 blades. Good open lines is the key. Oh and this is in a Queensland summer with water temps around 23C. Millzee load em up and fly.
