After giving up on the 1717 I've taken some advice from a few of you guy's and have got the boat ready for the water now fitted with a castle 1515 2200kv motor, swordfish 200amp Esc and will run it on 4s2p. After struggling to calibrate the sf200 I found the mr3000 I had been using with the 1717 was not working correctly so I'm now using a mr200 (kinda make me want to try it again but it's changed now). I've put a x445 prop at the end and everythings looking good for a run on Saturday, my wifes taking the kids to the zoo and leaving me home to run the business so I guess the business will be ran via the mobile phone. lol.

moment, but a gps encased in a CF shell is like taking action photos through shade cloth. the image distorted.

I'm thinking of putting the boat in my car with the gps on and the hatch closed and taking it for a drive, I could compare speeds from the tom tom to the garman. I might have to work out how to use the eagle tree system properly, that way I could tuck the gps up under the front. I've gone off the idea of lettint the kids drive a boat at this point of there lives, my 6 year old was driving the Merv the other day and ran over a magpie so his hopes of dodging ducks are very slim.
