Hello! Had a 3 year pause in the game and now I´m back in the hobby. The boat has been sitting where I left it, so I think I will continue this thread! Good to be back!! :)

Great thing about this hobby, one can always 'set it down' and pick it back up. Glad you made it back. Good to see another Daytona getting ready.

Yes, had my car as a hobby for a couple of years but its sold now. About the tape, I actually tested the canopy yesterday and its quite waterproof. I have O-rings on the thumbscrews, but maybe just to be safe i will use tape also :)

Finished the decking in CF, 1,5mm sheets attached with screws. Epoxied blind nuts to the fuselaga so I can remove everything. This also raises it so I can hide loose wires and some cooling lines underneath.

Also bent and test fitted the stuffing tubes. Gonna make some mounts in CF I think!

I`m gonna make som mounts for the esc´s also so they get raised of the deck.

Made this Esc stand today, going to use cable ties to fasten them.

Later today I´m going to my brother to get 3D printed some supports for the stuffing tube.

On a side note: I have heard the COG should be around 10" from the transom, is this correct?

Why use tape if you got thumb screws. We dont use tape on our boats with cowl locks and have had tumbles at very high speeds with no water leak problems. Just have to make sure all interior items are very securely locked down. Good way to test your hatch seal...remove your esc's , servo and rcvr. Submerge your hull , it will reveal leaks from any location, just follow the air bubbles. We use the weather seal for doors and slice it like a member showed doing fuel line in this thread previously. Nice build bro, looking forward to seeing yours run...love my Daytona/Genesis its a fast hull and has lots of potential once you beef it up a bit....DJ

Made this 3d drawing of the stinger shim. My brother is going to 3D print it for me.

I see now that fightercatracing sells this, but this is faster and cheaper.

So I ordered some new capacitors off ebay. Same spec as the one I had from FC. The two I got was somewhat bigger in diameter than the FC part. But I don´t think that matters much. Soldered them close on the + and - on the esc leads and put them on top of the esc, on the heatsink. I hope it will cool them a bit as a +. Spektrum sticker for coolness around the capacitors hah

Applied some silicone around the capacitors + and - so not to corrode it.

Also had made this rudder extender from square alu tubing. Felt the rudder was a bit close compared to the stingers. sprayed it black and stuck a sticker on top. I have drawn up some covers for the sides of the extension that my brother is going to 3d print in ABS plastic. will look a bit better I think!

One question. How do you attach this boot. I have drilled an appropriate size hole to fit it so it doesn´t fall out. Should I epoxy it in or just use silicone to seal it?

Looks a bit messy now, but I think that will clear ones I assemble it completely! I however like to see the inner workings

                                Comments and suggestions are welcome!
