Hi D3lap. I had mine laser cut by Alex Guzman of mmodels.com. 1/8" plywood including hatch and supports for 50.00 plus shippiing.
This is the easy way to go. Well I have given you some food for thought. Regards

Hmm that is interesting... I havent had much time to work on this guy, so i might switch over to a more proven design as i want this to perform as well as possible.

Im printing those plans, and am going to start some work on it. What is the dashed line on the stringer for? Am i supposed to cut that out aswell for additional support?

Hi, You made the right choice. The dotted line is for you to cut stringers in that shape to reinforce your main stringers. Use 1/8"
ply for the frame. I did not use them because it is strong New Cat 1.jpgenough in 1/8 inch ply. See Attached photo.

Damn, that looks amazing! Its a pity i tried to print the 30 something pages to scale the boat up to 34" but the pages printed off, so not all the parts are continuous widths. Really made me mad. Im going to try and find a print shop to do it, just to get it over and done. Really causing some grey hairs.

Also, did you cut the whole thing from 1/8th ply? And do you have a link to where you bought it?

Hi d3lap, Google a-mmodels.com and it will take you to Alex Guzman laser cutting site at A & M Models. His e-mail address is on his site.
If you contact him he has the files from which he cut mine. Does a Super job at a very reaonable price. Contact him and let him know
what you want. Remind him that he cut one for me a couple of years back Norman H. Storer. Regards
              Norman
PS. Save the photo I sent you of the frame on a file and send it to him in your e-mail or send him the file of the cat plans and
tell him you want it in 34". He will remember

Do his fees include material prices? And shipping might be a little much to Canada..

Hi d3lap. Yes his price includes all material and every part on the plans. Just e-mail him and see what he quotes you
and if not maybe there is a laser cutting service in your area. In my case he charged 50.00 plus 20.00 shipping and I
found that reasonable because I wanted my boat cut by a pro. Regards

Hi Catman74, Yes, I had tears that day, I was trying to shoot a video while driving it but I'll never do that again. I was going to build another one but it was a lot of work so I decided to get a EKOS King of Shave hull and replace with same hardware and motor/esc.
It turns out that the EKOS is faster in a straight line but have to let-off a little when turning which I didn't have to do on my original
cat. People just don't realize what the amount of work is to make a scratch built cat. Here is a photo of the replacement. Regards
