    bjorn deltaforce 33 neu 1521 1577kv

A friend of mine has a deltaforce 33 with neu 1521 1577kv and turnigy 180amp esc running 6 cell 3900mah 50c kypom batteries, x645 detounge, he is pulling about 130amps + I guess, he has been using deans for 2 years but they get much much hotter than mine on 100amps.. 130amps + is too much for the deans he got 76kmph with deans and switched too 5,5mm gold bullets then he got 77kmph, the temps on the connectors went down.

he is very dissapointed with the speed people here on OSE recommended the setup and said it should give 90-100kmph.
what is wrong with his setup? the boat dont go wet(deep in water). the trimflaps and strut is trimmed nice.. the esc caps and batteries get pretty warm..

OSE speed calc says 102kmph with this setup he is only getting 77kmph

maybe x642 detounge should give more speed? OSE speedcalc says 95kmph maybe rpm will go up and temps on caps batts down?

Your friend's boat is not performing correctly for the listed equipment. There are several possible reasons. First, if he is running 6S1P he probably does not have enough battery, this would also explain the hot caps. Posted experiences on the 'net with the Kypom batteries is mixed, they are most probably not really 50C cells.

the trimflaps and strut is trimmed nice
This is not at all helpful, what the heck does "nice" mean? Are they pretty? A lot of up trim? Down trim? How many trim tabs? How "deep in the water" does the boat it run? Where is the CG?

This hull is a well-known entity and should perform better than your friend's does with that power level. We will need good photos of the transom to better help your friend.

      df 33

the strutt is pointing a little bit up and the trimflaps as well, you can see the air under the hull it is not going wet...the boat goes nice it dosent jump or have any issues. he had 81kmph gps last year on turnigy 5000mah 30c 6s so maybe the kypom isnt that great...

      it has this hardware:

      Product ID: ose-80070
Dual Trim Tab Assembly Medium Sized
for boats in the approximate 30"(760mm) to 40"(1000mm)
      Each tab measures approximately
      57mm(2.24") wide x 48mm(1.89") x 15.5mm(.61") tall.

      Product ID: ros-stinger-str
      Speedmaster Stinger Strut
      Stinger for 3/16 propeller shafts
      Both struts Measure Approximately,
82.5mm in length. Mounting plate is 45mm tall x 31mm wide.

he has two rudders maybe that creates too much drag?

is the x645 too big? what speed should he expect with x642?

1p is part of the issue, I also think you may have too much prop myself............try an x448.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

ok he has now bouht a swordfish 240a

it should be possilble too run this 1521neu 1577kv at 7 cell 40800rpm unloadet 35000rpm loaded think a x640 og x442 detounge would work

but is it possible too run this motor on 8s? with a x440 detounge maybe cut it down too x439
            thats 46600rpm unloaded 41000rpm loaded.

            it would be fast...

my df 33 runs a leopard 4074 1400kv at 8s and x440 detounge thats 95amp draw according too etti datalogger....
