Well technically it is my dad's but I am sure it will be mine in the future! It has a strait 8 in it and was just rebuilt. Everything is original except for the paint and if you count the motor.

I'm glad someone has finally done this. You can also run two of the 4030's on a single big ESC as well. =)

Yes I do! I am a co-op student in the AFRL in a power electronics lab. Tested everything with a $15k LeCroy Osilliscope!
And not yet, I am working on my gassers tonight.

I just ordered a 200amp 16s FC esc! I think it will be pulling double duty with two inline 880kv T600's on 12s in my 47in mono and on 8s in my next build that will be a 1717 powered Daytona.

Cool. You'll have to share the shaft transfer process. Think it's just a matter of some clips and set screws, right?

Some guys have been doing this with the big turnigy motors for some time. Same with e-bikes... Lehner does the opposite, where two ESC's drive one motor (with 6 leads).

I love the different types of power systems! I am going to make a thread on how to put the two motors to one shaft soon since i have to convert the two 880kvs I have.
Hopefully I can run this big guy on 6s soon!

Haha! This was my original idea with the gear drive in the 47" (with two esc's) but I was afraid of putting two on one shaft.
Do it and we will have twins!

idea, actually a really good one. I order 4 motors, 4 batts, you order 4 ESC's, then we ship to each other, that would save on cost.
