I strongly recommend using a mount that supports the motor both fore and aft.

We think alike,,,RiverRat is making a 3 piece mount that will use the existing mounting studs in the stringers, both fore and aft.Originally posted by Bill-SOCAL View PostI strongly recommend using a mount that supports the motor both fore and aft.
Qty 2 "L" shaped brackets for the sides that will be adjustable up and down, and Qty 1 actual motor mount that will hold the motor and mount to the other brackets,,with adjustments fore and aft.
Should help a lot with alignment issues.

Probably a Hydra HV 180,,,if they ever get released,,or I could always move my Schultze 140/60 back and forth between this and my V-24. But that would be a pain, I would prefer a speed control in each.Originally posted by Bill-SOCAL View PostI strongly recommend using a mount that supports the motor both fore and aft.Grand River Marine Modellers

I have yet to "formally" race anything (trying to maintain my "amature" status)
I went to London this summer for a weekend of pit crewing for a friend. It was wild,,over 150 boats competing.
Right now we are trying to get legal rights to use a "Overflow pond" in Cambridge
Its perfect, fully accessable all the way around and in the middle of an industrial area by the big Toyota plant. No noise issues either as some guys like to run the smelly/ slimey/ greasy stuff!
Maybe we can get together if the winter ever lets go .Grand River Marine Modellers

go up in the top right hand corner of your keyboard. There are 3 buttons. first one says " prt Scr/sysRq
hit that button. then go into the paint program ( every computer has ) then hit "ctrl--V" and it will show up. then you crop it and such

River Rat sent me a message last week that he has all the info he needs for the mount, so I assume its "in process.
As everything is forzen solid up here,,,,there is still about a month and a half left before I'll start to panic
