Hi These hulls are $90 AUD plus postage, postage to the USA is $30.

Thanks Darin, unless someone else can correct me but i believe thes pictures are of a Davette Squirt , is that a Kehrer unit sitting in there?, I think i have seen some footage of this boat on Youtube ???? very impressive, you have just gotta love large scale electrics

      Cheers for sharing

I got my new hull from Mick last week, cant wait to start putting it together.

Have ordered a 40mm Graupner jet for it which should arrive any day now. Should go well on 2x 2s on a 120A ESC and 2200kv setup.

Havent even painted this one yet but thinking about asking Mick politely for another one already!

Yeah I am taking pics as I go, just doing all the prep for the painting at the moment and putting in some extra glass in the transom and floor. Im quite sure there will be some highspeed wipeouts so want to put the extra strength in now.

Tempted by the prospect of a painted one, what have you got in mind? I'm trying to think of something a bit different for mine, maybe a matt camo paint job or something stealthy with some small decals. If I was good enough I would a blend from white to orange I think.

Was thinking on going with a Cartoon character, haven't finally decided yet but something like the coyote or Taz, Martian ????? Something that will keep me busy. Have got another guy's boat i'm doing now in the Jack Daniels scheme, i guess think of a simple job at first if you aren't familiar with painting, but gee what is the worst that can happen, may have to redo it
Keep the details comming mate, pretty keen to know how it all looks.

Hull is 650mm long X 280mm wide, scaled it off a Mackcraft Jetboat, with a few modificatiions to the bottom to make it handle for RC use. This is about version 6 of these hulls and i'm hoping i have it right this time
Jet unit is going to be a Kehrer 29mm unit coupled up to a Feigao 10xl , Turnigy 120amp esc , 5000mah 40c 4s1p lipo . Have had a little experience with the graupner units but the price seems to be the same as the Kehrer units now so i thought i'd give them a go.
Here's a link to my previous version :

Please excuse the paintwork as it's my first go at Airbrushing. If your interested in a hull pm me.

Hi Mick, Whats the price with the roll bars fitted. Post to. Mandurah. 6210 Western Australia, Australia. Does the finished product comes with white gel coat?

Getting a bit frustrated with waiting for my graupner jet to arrive, ordered it from http://www.westbourne-model.co.uk a month ago and nothing, emailed them twice, still nothing.

Pitty as Micks hull is ready to paint but I want to put the jet in first :/

the water pick up part that is inside the boat is 126 mm long and the out side part is 94mm long. not sure what I'm going to with them yet. I was thinking of a twin that's why I have 2

Hi All, Slappy, gee man that sucks, i just ordered 2 units from them too, hope they don't take as long as yours.. From memory though the KMB units from Germany took about 4-5 weeks to get here.
Hey Rick, think those units you are describing may be a little long in the inlet, i will measure up the ride pad though, Twins will be an interesting project , what were you thinking of ????? A big hull ??? Electric/Gas ?
I will be painting up the next hull, doing a "Iron Man" concept and desperate boat with a " Jack Daniels" paint scheme, will post some pics when done,

Hope those jet units don't take that long, cant stand long waits for parts....

Hi Mick, I received the jet boat OK. The jet that I was going to use was a Robbe 28mm unit, but when I saw the size of the hull, I ordered a Graupner 40mm and gear box , the gear box is for running brushless motors. I have ordered them from Graupner USA, and I thought the price was great. So when the jet unit arrives I,ll be able to work which way to go, I'll be setting it up to run 4s (14.8 volts ) . I also hope that this thread keeps getting more input.
                          Cheers Wayne

Hi Mick the 126mm is from the trans to the front of the mounting plate so past the water inlet

Cool glad you got the hull in one piece, yeah i was thinking on the 40mm jet for these hulls too, the 28mm one works well just was thinking on giving it more grunt. For that unit without a gearbox i was going to try a Leopard 4082 1500KV on 4s, and a Turnigy 120amp ESC, but if you have the gearbox you may want to go to about 2200kv.
Make sure you post some pictures,
                              Cheers Mick
