Hello, yes am getting the jet direct, couldn't find a shop that sold them anywhere else. We are a bit limited in the model Boat bit sales here is Aust. compared to over in the states.

Yep they are a lot of fun, being able to turn both ways and run is shallow water seems to appeal to me. But also love the satisfaction of building a boat from scratch and getting it to go fast.
Got the jet unit from Kehrer in Germany today , and i can tell you i am impressed with the quality , especially after having a few Graupner ones before. They just seem a more sturdy unit.. We will seeif they really are after a few runs.
Fiberglassed it in the boat and also have mounted the motor, lucky i had a spare motor mount as 36mm dia holed motors will not mount directly onto the unit, well the FIEAGO motors won't anyway, and used up a spare uni-joint to couple it up.
I will post the pics tomorrow.

Here are a couple pictures of the progress, Servo mount , battery support and receiver are also glassed in, will hopefully be putting it all together within the next day or so.
Was going to layup another hull for a friend and found some air voids under the gellcoat in the mold but am hoping to have it all fixed and another hull popped out this weekend ? ? ? ? will post a few pics of a hull fresh out of the mold (for those who are wondering on what the bare bones hull looks like).
          Cheers

Well got it finally in the water and didn't get 2 metres from the bank before it spat the flow straightener out the back, so had to make one from a old flow straighter i had lying around from a old project.
            Got some footage anyhow:

The other pictures are from a new hull i'm building for a friend fresh out of the mold, for those who are interested on seeing what they look like unpainted.

            Cheers Mick

I think the glue that holds the flow straightener let go ? ?? have since made another one, (not the one in the previous pictures) to see if it loads up the unit properly ??? failing that it's a new impeller on the way then.
Victory roll ? No, spun it out plenty of times though.
Thanks for the feedback, nice to know other peoples opinions.

Hi all just thought i'd put in an update, more mods and here is the result.

New 3 blade impeller (alloy) and a more modified flow straightener, i am thinking now to try a 40mm jet unit in it next ? or a completely new build???

We have one of these in District 8 and it looked like a ton of fun! It's a LOT bigger in person!

Which one Darin ? a gas one or one of mine, i have sent a few over the pond.
I have a shortened 1/4 scale Swashdrive powered one and it is not all that easy to keep straight but as you said a ton of fun.

I'm not sure... I think the owner of NW Nitro Hobbies was the one with it there. It was setup for FE use, on 4S, with a jet pump. Hull looked to be about 30" or so, really wide, and fairly deep. Looked like fun to drive!
