I wanted to get this set up so that I could get a CG of 28 to 30%. It turns out (so far) that the boat likes 28%. To get that , EVERYTHING has to be in the back of the boat. The RX is tucked under the deck.
The lower was set per the build sheet but I ended up mounting it dead square on the transom before I ran it the second time. It wanted no part of having the lower mounted on that angle.
I started out with the 42X55 that I was running on my Stewart tunnel.
I have a modded 1440 that I was going to try along with some others during open water on Friday.

Hope this helps. I'll post some more here after this weekends race.
              Good luck with your build.
              Doug
Angle? What instructions are you following? That boat should have the driveline absolutely flat and about 1/4" above the bottom of the sponsons. The balance point should end up just about 7.75" from the back of the sponsons. With a NAMBA legal OS stock motor and an Anderson modified 1440 that setup will do 53 and corner like a dream. No reason the CG should not be the same with FE. But never run angle on that hull.

I was following the set up sheet that came with the hull. Who the author was I have no idea.
7.5"CG may require some lead in her tail.
Oh well, I'm off to the races. Stay tuned.

dont worry kent.. the visions run right up there with the lynx. i have had them both in nitro form and decided to fe the vision instead of the lynx due to the user friendlyness of it... also as for flynns cables in the lawless you just have to tell him. he made me a bunch that fit perfect...

Sounds like the ESC cooling leaked ... or ?

                                LOL Man what a weekend!!!
The ooops was when Ken and I blew the start in the second heat. (so the CD said lol)
I was running hard and managed to make up the lap and was going to pass my bud "Stormin Norman Morton". ( He is the AMBs Vice pres, and the D13 GP Director.) Any way, I thought it would be really cool to do it on the outside. Well I rolled the boat over at bouy#3 and took a DNF.
The radio box was dry. Did you forget who built this thing Dick?? LOL
Today I took two more firsts and brought home the win.
IMO The Lynx may not be the best suited for a FE conversion, but it is certainly a competitive P limited O/B Tunnel, even in my hands.lol
The feild was three VS1s, a Vision, a Stewart Stealth, and the Lynx, all with UL 1 motors and ESCs.
BTW.Dick, I raced 60 Scale for the first time this weekend and brought home the gold. You'd better bring your A game to the Spring Nats. See ya in April!!
