I wont risk that anymore! -just that hobbycity has no t600´s in stock... when they do I´ll get new ones.

-Any one using the kb45 motors on big hulls? -700kv or1000kv about the same money then t600...but needs a water jacket(or cooling coil, done these coolers in the past...)

I guess I should just wait for the outrunners...

Ebay has few, but 60-80€ a pop ...-I´ll wait. -opened the working motor today and cleaned the black electric smoke off...-and oiled the 3! bearings (thought there was only 1 or 2)

Thats nice looking arrow there Mart! -looks cool on the water !

-Now go and finish that smaller cigarette hull so I can get 1!

Im starting the deck plug next week hopefully, still need to work out dimentions for the hatch opening and decide what style to go with for the hatch as id like to keep it as scale as possible.
Glad you liked the pic,his friend def took a great shot.

They are the big brother to the 3126 outrunners. They could be a very nice option and have the same mounting hole spacing as the T600. And make sure you put some locktite on the set screws that hold on the motor bell if you get them.

Thanks Jacked1, I think that I could get the 530kv versions cause the 880kv is a bit over the "scale speed" I was after. run times could get longer and temps lower?

thoughts? -or if the 910kv is not too much for the ss 200A esc´s then it is an option also.

Do you think these are more or less of a motor compared to the t600´s? -I guess they are close, but dont know... -dont want to get new motors that I cant use...or wont work with this hull.

(trying to keep the smoke inside the electrics this time)

Yea I know what you mean! If you want a little less speed and longer run times you could just use a smaller prop. The 910kv is a bit more "beefy" but since is can handle more amps it would probably be more efficient at the same amp draw than the 880kv or 530kv motors. I think the 51mm props and 910kv motors might be your best bet.

And if you burn another 200amp esc I would switch to the T120 or 180 because they are a lot more reliable and you shouldn't pull more than 120amps on your setup. And goodluck! I am pulling for you to not burn anymore esc's.

"beefy" as in more beefy as t600? -or just more kv?

I guess I can order the 910kv ones, but I have the nice propshop 5517/3´s that I would like to keep using. I still think that the motor was not the only thing to blame on the esc fires-...- the change to outward rotating props must have something to do with it. -thoughts could that draw more Amps?

But I can allways keep the propshop props on display and when I use the boat I can put 51-54mm props on.

And The 180A turnigy esc sounds cheap now... -bought 6 of the 200A cheapos this year..... -but now I have 1 spare one if it smokes again...

Beefy as they are capable of more power. The 880s can handle around 90amps at and the 910s can handle around
125 amps. I am not sure about the prop direction? I know one draws more than the other but I don't have any two outdrive mono's so I can't say for sure. I am sure the 530kv would prolly do great as well since you already have the props.

Actually that could be good, cause I could later get hv esc´s (if the speed is not enough) and run 8-10s and 530kv, that should be fun. I think it should get to plane with 6s and 530kv..-and run cooler then using 880 or 910kv. ? -difficult to say is the 6s enough with 530kv but runtimes should be good.

I do like my boats fast so 910kv...maybe... aaarrgghh!......dunno... maybe the 910kv has atleast the same torgue then t600 880kv has... -then it could be good. But then the esc´s could start smoking again ... this is difficult!

530kv would leave the rpm´s around 10.000 and thinking that is too little?

Hmmm I think the 910kv's are the way to go. 530kv is really low. I am sure on 6s the motors will be able to handle those props. Also if you got some hv esc's, the 910's are rated for 11s If you really wanted to go fast. And if you get hv esc's, I would recommend the fightercat ones.

Jacked1, I just ordered 2x 910kv HG3740PRO-4T motors from Himodel. Thanks 4 your help and hoping to try the new motors soon!

HiModel PRO Series 910KV Outrunner Brushless Motor for 600-700 Helicopter Type HG3740PRO-4T from manufacturer HiModel, in category Electric Brushless Motors - Outrunner, (Brushless) Motors & Accessories.

                              8231.jpg

I paid more then on hc, but atleast himodel had them in stock. (and the motors look nicer then the hc red/chrome.

I also got all! of the stink off the hull. Wiped everything down using denat.alchohol, then sprayed odor remover(the stuff you spray on car seats etc. to get cigarette/other smells off) ,let that work overnight and then washed the boat with pineline(pine oil based cleaner from wurth).
Even the fiberglass smell is gone now!
