Ok. So if I fast charge, I can go to 3c? And how quickly will that do it?

I am not sure if you have the sky lipos that can be fast charged, take a look at the label and see what it says. If it is fast charge capable, then it could take about 20 min to charge. That depends on if your charger can handle it that is...24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

I first had a leopard 4074 2200kv spinning an x640 on 5s2p and hit 57mph. My Etti 150 esc went boom because of it. So I now have a leopard 4082 1500 kv spinning an x442 with a Seaking 180 on 5s2p, 52mph 120 -130 amps. I have averaged 46mph. I will be propping up but need to balance some props first.Originally posted by dana View PostSo rich, what are you running in your mm again? Prop?24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

i was also running the x442 and it def ran a bit cooler. with the m445 things get a little warm, motor today at 115. im thinking during the 100 degree days of summer running the 442 but i dunno... its a big step up from the 442 to the 445. when i got the 445 i was like wow, thats alot bigger lol

Haha I got an x447 just in case and looking back now its way to big lol. I plan on moving to an x445 and see what kind of amp draw I get. I'll keep you posted. For now I would just stick with the x442 to keep the system in check.24 R/C vehicles and still counting...What budget?

you would need a charger that can put out 15amps while charing your 2s 5000mah packsOriginally posted by dana View PostOk. So if I fast charge, I can go to 3c? And how quickly will that do it?

recently ive been struggling with heat issues, and reading about strut depths. i think ive finally got it
i raised the strut way up so the bottom of the strut was even with the bottom of the sponsons and HOLY *!***!***!***!** *!***!***!***!**!!!!!! that sucker was rippin like never before. i musta either worked on it and left it wayy down or never had it right, but the damn thing was stupid fast, and my run time was almost doubled. best part, when i brought it in everything was good temps. 110 on motor/esc and bullets this time
on m445 btw

I had to extend the slot on my Speedmaster rudder a bit to get the strut that high. Not sure what strut you have there. My boat (running a bigger prop) was porpoising like mad until I got the strut up nice and high. Even at flush with the sponson bottoms.

Dana, I have the bottom of mine 1/4" up from the bottom of the sponsons, using an m445 prop. I had the same problem you had when I first ran mine. It pulled 140 amps and only hit 35 mph. Now it hits 51 with 130 amps :) (though I am running the leopard 4082 1500kv on 5s)
