    Yep, here: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=11179

might be a tad shorter can...., nope same as 4400kv...

I have the 4400kv one, just sitting on the desk... I was going to put it in a mini rigger or av DF23 if I get one.

I just ordered two of them to test out in the DP Sniper. Thanks for the recommendations.

I upgraded the stock 45 Amp ESC in the Sniper to a 90 Amp Marine Seaking and doubled up on the LiPos. I used two packs, each 3s, 35-45c, 2200 mAhr Turnigy for a total of 3s, 4400 mAhr.

The pics of the install and the Screen shot of the Eagle Tree data in the pics.

Speed now increased to 43 MPH. However, the RPM could not be correct? I am still assuming this is a two pole motor? ...........but 58,000RPM ! Temp was on the ESC which remained cool even with a 100 AMp draw. I am really pushing these pacs also. Now its time to get the experts to trim the boat! I can easily see getting 50 plus MPH out of this 23" boat.

I took my sniper 23 out yesterday, and for some reason I don't remember it running as fast as the last time. Mind you these are brand new Enerland 3s - 3200Mah. And I really don't want to invest on a whole new setup either. I am curious to see how far Joe can push this hull and the way it handles with all the extra speed, and find a happy medium for my sniper.

Tony and Mark will be down on Wed to get the boat set up correctly. I will keep the EagleTree in it and also post some videos of the test runs. I do not think the outrunners I ordered will be her my then so we will continue to test and set up with the inrunner.

            Joe,

Have you thought about testing some props as well?? I might try this route, as the outrunner should be able to handle some bigger props being only 2200kv on 3s. Just need to figure out the stock size right now.

quest, you need to look at the rpm on a graph to really see what is going on. i always get a spike in max rpm that is way out of line. otherwise your lookin good. check out tunda's upgrades to this same boat. he did some trick stuff to the driveline to accept .130 flex with 3/16 shaft. also he runs 1 x 5000mah 3s centered. his also runing 40+.

Thanks for the input. I will run the boat again today with full EagleTree set up and post the results. I currently run 2 x 2200mah 3s centered just in front of the motor. My top speed so fat, as measured by the onboard Eagle Tree GPS has been 45 MPH and that is with the stock prop. I picked up a few MPH after I re-bent the shaft on the upgraded moter I installed. MarkF and Tony spotted the fact that the motor shaft was badly bent helping to cause the oscillations in the earlier video.

I am still waiting for the 28-sized outrunners I ordered from Hobby King to try in the Sniper. I am also thinking of upgrading with a Tenshock motor.

I am REALLY pleased with the DF Sniper and use it as an evaluation platfrom for most of my onboard video testing. The 5 camera compaison tests I posted in the video forum were ALL mounted on the Sniper. Even with the nearly 7 oz, High Drag GoPro Hero HD camera the Sniper flew!

The ESC on the DF23 is a Suppo 45 amp esc with a SBEC tacked on the back.

I checked the FET's and they are as the PDF shows below.

Good to 25 Vdc, so 4S is not a problem for this esc nor is 5S, 6S or 7S.

I have one now and plan on running it stock first except with a M435 x3 blade prop.

After that I have a HK outrunner coming, 1860Kv, perfect for 4S.

Anyway, this looks to be a fun boat and I hope to get it wet soon.

All you need to do is drill out the lead teflon 4mm bushings one drill bit at a time and then slip in some Octura Lead teflon bushings for 3/16" drive.

I was thinking of doing this but, not yet, I'll try it stock first.

Stock prop is 1.4 pitch 35mm prop.

My first run will be with the M435 x3 blade. Should rock & roll pretty nicely for maiden voyage.

Good stock ESC but I upgraded to a Seaking 90 Amp ESC. My Eagle Tree shows I pull well over 100 amps with my upgrade motor and the stock prop/shaft

One tip I figured ot fot the sloppy rudder bushings, just drill out the hole in the rudder for the pin to the next larger drill size and then the deflection from tightening the set screw will take up the slack. It works well for me, just remember threadd lock on youor set screws!!

You are also using a 2 pole inrunner right? If you stuck to outrunners you might not need such a large ESC but, it's all good man, you have a smokin' Sniper there!!!
