Hey how did that boat run? I was considering doing a bigger hull but I wanted more of a scale look? Post more pictures of that rig if you have them. What do you mean when you say "BL" and "Neu 1527"?
Also a question about CG on a boat like this. With so much weight on the back my CG is nowhere near that "30% of the hull from the transom" even with all the batteries way up front. Thats why I extended the ESC wires so I could put them up front. No worries I soldered everything and used a good marine grade wire.
I will mostly need the height and how wide all the dimensions to make it, good pictures will help a lot, lots of angles.
I thought you were complaining about the speed being too fast. Yes it will slow down the top speed. Electrics like to be full out it is easyer on the ESC. to go slow there is a answer I am not your guy on that.
I'm going to make some drawings this weekend for the arch. I can email it to you. Maybe you can do a leaning post too? That will be much simpler than the arch, basically just 4 legs.

Few new pictures. Did a few trial runs and blew a lower unit (gears) already. At least it doesn't cost $3 grand like it does on a real boat. I had a new in the box motor so I just swapped it out. I'm pretty sure it was my fault, the canal behind my house has a lot of crap floating in it and I think something jammed the prop.
OK so here are the pictures. Everything is dry fit. I'll be using 7 cell 8.4 volt NiMh batteries instead of these 11.1 volt LiPos. I think they are to powerfull for these motors.
I had to move the motors down a lot which required some creative "custom" work on the mounting brackets. But I think I got it! This boat runs very nice. Once I get the trim tabs on it should run even better.
If you run it half throttle most of the time, the ESC will get very hot............you're gonna get heat either way unless you go with 2 cell lipo's or 6-7 cell nimh.
Yes I would totally like you to build me an arch!! Look at the picture of my real Scarab above. Thats what I want it to look like. It doesn't have to be identical but the same idea.

"Drop the voltage" Do you mean using batteries with a lower voltage rating? Wouldn't that also lower the top speed?

If you are using the 11.1 volt lipos (3S) try dropping down to a 7.4 (2S) and you will go slower and closer to the scale speed you are looking for
