To the OP:

I dont think those motors will be "back in stock" at OSE. They were only offered at such a low cost because Castle is no longer making them. I havent heard of any plans to stock more.

i already got the motors, i need the heat sinks.

I agree... My twins I run differently... I run a y adapter from each esc to the reciever and run each motor/esc on it's own lipo....or lipos for that matter..... Do alot of people run them this way like your diagrahm?

I do the same as you do Jason. Each side independant. The only way I'd run like the above diagram is if I did'nt have the room to run my desired setup in the hull.

good to hear..... the above must be hard on lipos... as 30c batts would be only good for 75amp constant loads.... guess you'd wanna be careful with your prop selection... this method would never work for me.....I'd have puffy packs for sure... if not fire on the water too!

Ah sorry, you'd need the diy kit http://www.rc-modules.com/page8.php?...age&category=8 I have an old JR Propo that has the module and the module fit. I used the diy kit to change over a Futaba 6EX and it was extremely simple, 3 wires soldered and a few holes drilled. Thanks a bunch gonna try that. Might get one of those for my other FM radio system as well. Never even knew stuff like this existed.

I understand what you mean about voltage being higher for lower amps, but 1600kv seems high to be running 7s or 8s on. I think two high C 6s lipos will be fine so i should be able to run one lipo per esc.

Same for me I prefer using one LiPo battery for each combo. I just want to explain that only one high voltage battery can work fine

Well, castle botched my order and sent me a 1512 not a 1520. Sent them an email Friday night hoping to hear back on Monday. Also the the drives i got do not fit, can anyone else who built a dual genesis cat tell me what stinger drives they used?

I need help with propellers!!!! not sure what to get, i got two different size of carbon props on the way so i can see if i like them (one 45mm one is 51mm)

51mm is huge (given the size of the boat and your 120A escs). You would be closer with the 45's. Did you get left and right props and shafts?

I think wiring them the way he suggested has merit if you were to wire your 2 6s packs in parallel (instead of series like in the diagram posted) and then the esc's in parallel. You would get an even discharge from both batteries and an even input to both escs...it really shouldnt make that big of a difference though if your batteries are in similar condition.
