Lous' is a very good tutorial. I think he uses a gearbox, been awhile since I looked it over, not really needed with lower kv motors or 700 motors. Everything else is a great example.

Quicksilver converted one too, he did a quality job (hope he doesn't mind)

Mine has come a long way from when I first converted it cheaply-quality wise. It worked but eventually I swaped out more quality hardware as I got more funding. So I would suggest doing it right the first time around Inside of my boat looks horrble, to many mods/remods/unmods when I was fooling around with converting. I still don't like to show the inside of my boat because of the mess.
